Through the Social Security Administration‘s payment schedule, retirees in the United States can find out in advance on what day they will receive their check. And in this month of July this remains the same. So, in order to find out when we will collect one of these benefits we just need to take a look at the Social Security calendar.
While it is true that the next of the payments is on July 12th and that all Americans know this information, it is also true that not all retirees will cash this check. The Social Security Administration sends checks only to a specific group of beneficiaries. If you do not meet the conditions, you will not be able to receive this check.
So check if you are part of the group of retirees who will receive the next benefit. It is important to know exactly when you will receive your new Social Security check. By knowing in advance, retirees can get organized and pay all their bills without any problems.
Who gets the July 12th Social Security check?
The second payment of the July 12th Social Security check is only for one group of beneficiaries. There are two different requirements to receive this check. The first of these requirements is to have the benefit since after 1997. In addition to meeting this requirement, it is mandatory to have been born between the 1st and 10th of the month.
As for the day of the birthday, only the day as such matters. Neither the year of birth nor the month is important. If you were born between these two days, the Administration will send you your check on July 12th, 2023.
Receiving it on the same day or not will depend on whether we have activated Direct Deposit. This collection method is essential if we want the check to arrive always on the day the Administration sends it. If we do not have this activated, the payment could arrive up to 3 days later.
Other July 2023 pensioner payments
The Social Security Administration divides benefit payments into 2 different groups. Within those 2 groups there are more groups in turn. So depending on certain characteristics, a retiree will receive their check earlier or later. The first identification is the date of retirement. After that, there are other distinctions to determine the day of collection.
Pre-1997 Retirees
Social Security beneficiaries with a benefit prior to this year are all paid on the same day. The day is usually the 3rd of the month and there are no exceptions in July. If you are in this group, your benefit should have arrived by now.
If you have not received a check, you should claim your payment from the Administration or your bank.
Retirees with Social Security after 1997
Any Social Security beneficiary collecting their benefit after 1997 will get their check on one of the following three days:
- July 12th. Next payment. Only for retirees with birthdays between the 1st and 10th.
- July 19th. This Social Security payment is only for beneficiaries with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of the month.
- July 26th. Retirees with birthdays between the 21st and 31st receive payment on this day.
Remember that these are the days on which the Administration sends Social Security retirement payments. The type of retirement does not matter, but the method of collection does matter to make sure we get the check on the same day it is mailed.
