In case you are not among the next group of disability beneficiaries to get your check, don’t worry. You will probably receive your benefit in the following weeks. Still, your check might have been sent, as the next check is the second of the month. Always check the calendar and pay attention to payment days to keep your household finances in check.
Who is not receiving the next disability benefit check?
The groups that will not receive the next of the Social Security disability benefit payments are:
- Retirees with a pre-1997 benefit.
- Certain groups of retirees with a benefit after 1997:
- Disability retirees born between the 11th and 20th of the month.
- Retirees with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of the month.
Therefore, the only group of Social Security beneficiaries who will receive the next benefit in just one week is the group of beneficiaries born between the 1st and 10th of the month. In addition to that, it is also mandatory that their benefit is after 1997.
The rest of the retirees will receive their checks on different days. Disability beneficiaries with retirement prior to 1997 received their checks on the 2nd of June.
On the other hand, retirees with a post-1997 check who do not collect the next payment on the 14th will receive their money on different days:
- Post-1997 beneficiaries with birthdays between the 11th and 20th. They will collect their disability check on June 21st.
- Social Security users with a post-1997 check and birthday between the 21st and 31st. They will receive their payment on June 28th.
With this information we can now know directly all the payments of the disability benefit for June. In addition, we must add the Supplemental Security Income payment, which arrives twice this month. The first of these checks arrived on the 1st and the second check will arrive on the 30th for those retirees who have activated Direct Deposit as their payment method.
