All eligible retirees will be able to have their United States Social Security check in their bank account today. This is the last of the checks the Administration will send out in the month of February to pensioners. If you haven’t received your check yet, you may receive it in the next few days.
The Social Security Administration’s February payment schedule ends today. With this new payment, all retirees with a pension, either age or disability, have their benefit money in their pocket. If not, you should look for a solution, as your payment will be overdue.
In order to receive the payment today, two conditions must actually be met. The first one is related to the date of birth of the retiree. The second of these requirements is linked to the Social Security payment method. By fulfilling these two conditions, you will be able to receive your Social Security check immediately.
How to receive your Social Security check immediately?
If you want to receive this Social Security check immediately you have to meet two requirements. These are the mandatory requirements:
- Have your birthday between the 21st and 31st of the month. This is essential. If you do not have your birthday between these days, you will not receive your check today, since you will be in a different group. Since this is the last payment of the month, Social Security should have already sent you your benefit if you were born earlier in the month. You do not have to be born in February to get your February check.
- Activate Direct Deposit as a payment method. You can receive your benefit through a bank deposit or through Direct Deposit. The latter method is instant and immediate. Therefore, all payments sent by the government will arrive in your pocket instantly.
If we do not have Direct Deposit activated, it may take up to 3 days for the money to appear in the bank account. So in that case you will have to wait a little while to receive it.
Pension payment schedule
The Social Security Administration always sends pensions on the same days of the month. In this regard, the second, third and fourth Wednesday of the month are the days chosen for retirement benefits. Also disability retirees can receive a check on that day. Thus, the March calendar is already announced, so we just need to check it to see on which exact day we will receive our cheque.
So if you have an accepted benefit, you can receive your cheque on one of those days. The exact day Social Security sends you your check depends on your birthday. What is certain is that SSA will send you your benefit every month.
