Now that the year 2025 is about to begin, United States households with a Disability benefit can mark on the calendar at what time of the month they will get their new check. In total, we can get two different checks in order to enjoy the regular benefit.
However, not all Americans will be able to get two different checks. It is good to remember that one of the payments is SSI and this check does not reach all households. It is true that Disability beneficiaries can combine their benefit with SSI, but just having a SSDI does not give you direct access to SSI.
January 2025 Disability Payment Schedule
This payment schedule is important because it marks the days when Disability retirees will start getting their check in all of 2025. This means that this will be the first of the 2025 payments with the Cost of Living Adjustment included.
However, the SSI payment that will be sent in January 2025 does not pertain to January 2025, but to February, since it is an advance payment. The January SSI check will be sent on the 31st day of December 2024 due to a calendar irregularity.
The January 2025 Social Security payment days are:
- January 3rd. Payment for pre-May 1997 retirees.
- January 8th. Payment for post-May 1997 retirees with birthdays between the 1st and 10th of any month.
- January 15th. Payment for post-May 1997 retirees with birthdays between the 11th and the 20th of any month.
- January 22nd. Payment for retirees after May 1997 with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of any month.
- January 31st. February 2025 SSI payment.
The $1,800 payment is an estimate of the average Disability check in 2025, but the figure for each of the checks is directly dependent on all factors related to the monthly benefit. So it doesn’t matter how much you get, since you’ll still get your check these days without any problems.
Remember that in order to have the money on the same day of sending it is necessary to have Direct Deposit activated. Without this collection method, the money will appear in the days following the shipment, but not on the same day that the Administration will send the check for Disability.
