United States citizens who belong to the first of the Social Security retiree groups will be able to collect their check in just a few hours. This same week this new benefit of the June calendar will reach the pockets of Americans who meet the established requirements. In order to determine if we are among the first group of retirees to receive Social Security or not, we only need to know several requirements.
While it is true that the Social Security Administration sends out retirement checks on 4 different days, each of these days is for a specific group. It is not a random mailing of payments, but rather it is all perfectly stipulated and measured. The first of these mailings is for the next group of retirees, but it is mandatory to fulfill a requirement to receive this check.
In addition to this, it should also be remembered that there are two main groups. The first group receives the money directly in just one day. The second group of retirees is further divided into three different groups. Each of these groups receives check on various Wednesdays of the month, depending on other pertinent personal information.
Who can receive the next Social Security check?
Only retirees who retired before 1997 can receive the next Social Security payment. This retirement payment is for each and every beneficiary who meets this one-time requirement. In addition to that, in the month of June the payment of this benefit is brought forward due to irregularities in the calendar.
Other SSA payments in June 2023
This is not the only payment the Social Security Administration will send in the month of June. What’s more, during the full 30-day month the Administration will send out up to 5 different checks. To that we have to add that one of the regular checks has an early date. So pay attention to the collection days for the month of June in order to have a more efficient organization:
- June 1st. June 1. June Supplemental Security Income payment.
- June 2nd. Next payment. This payment is in advance of the June 3rd payment. Only pre-1997 Social Security beneficiaries receive this check.
- June 14th. Post-1997 retirees born between the 1st and 10th receive this payment.
- June 21st. Retirees with birthdays between the 11th and 20th receive this check. It is also mandatory to have applied for retirement after 1997.
- June 28th. Last payment pertaining to June 2023. This payment is for retirees with birthdays between the 21st and 31st. In addition, the retiree must have had the benefit since after 1997.
- June 30th. Fifth check of the month, although it actually pertains to July’s Supplemental Security Income.
In total, a retiree could receive up to 3 Social Security checks this month. Whether or not you receive them depends on whether or not you have activated Direct Deposit and whether or not Supplemental Security Income is among your payments from the Administration.
