The United States Disability benefit payment goes to all beneficiaries every month. The Social Security Administration sends payments for age retirement or for some other reason. In truth, neither the total amount of the check nor the reason for the check affects the day of collection.
The Social Security Administration’s criteria for payment of disability benefits each month are different. Just meeting a couple of requirements is more than enough to access the day on which we will receive our benefit. The next payment has two fundamental requirements and retirees who do not meet them will not be able to receive them.
Always check out very carefully which group of beneficiaries you are in. If you do not do this the organization in the family economy is much more complicated. In addition, one of the great advantages of collecting Social Security is that we can know the exact day we will have the retirement money. For that reason, taking this advantage is fundamental to be able to spend the best golden years possible.
What are the requirements for the new disability check?
Beneficiaries belonging to the last of the disability retirement groups will be able to access this new check. In order to know whether or not we belong to the last group to receive Social Security for the month, we must take into account two criteria.
The first of these criteria is related to the year of retirement. In the case of having retired before 1997, the beneficiary is exclusively part of the first group to receive the monthly payment. Therefore, it is mandatory to have applied for retirement after 1997 if what we are looking for is to have the next of the checks.
However, it is not only necessary to have a pension after 1997. Besides that, it is also essential to have a birthday between the 21st and 31st of the month. These two characteristics will make us belong to the last group of the month to receive the disability benefit. So the rest of the retirees have already received their payment earlier.
Upcoming Social Security Checks
Besides this payment, there are no other payments coming from Social Security in May. No disability payments or anything like that. The next check after the May 24th check will come in June. Here is the schedule for every day in June:
- June 1st. Supplemental Security Income payment for beneficiaries. It doesn’t matter if it’s a birthday, retirement age or disability.
- June 2nd. Advance payment for pre-1997 retirees. This payment is usually made on the 3rd day, but in this case it is made earlier because the 3rd day is a weekend.
- June 14th. This check will be for disability beneficiaries after 1997. It is also mandatory to have the birthday between the 1st and 10th.
- June 21st. Retirees born between the 11th and 20th of the month and with benefits after 1997 receive this check.
- June 28th. In addition to being born between the 21st and 31st of the month, it is necessary to have a retirement after 1997.
- June 30th. The July Supplemental Security Income payment is advanced to the last business day of June.
Regarding the requirement of days of birth, the month does not matter. In other words, retirees born in May will receive checks for every month. The only thing that matters is the days to determine to which group of disability beneficiaries we belong. And don’t forget to activate Direct Deposit to avoid delays in receiving any of these checks.
