The new Social Security retirement checks for United States beneficiaries are on their way. But it is true that not all Americans will be able to access this new check. In order to be able to collect this benefit on April 24, it is necessary to meet certain requirements.
Each of the payments that the Social Security Administration sends out has one or two mandatory requirements. So not all Americans are eligible for all retirement checks. It is important to keep this in mind so that we can organize our household finances.
Who can get the April 24th Social Security payment?
Only retirees who belong to beneficiary group 4 can get this retirement check. To belong to this group we will have to meet 2 requirements. One requirement is related to the year of retirement and the other requirement is related to the day of birth.
Thus, in order to get the April 24th Social Security check, we will first have to have the Social Security payment since May 1997. If our benefit started in that month or a little later, we meet the first requirement.
The second requirement is to have a birthday between the 21 and 31 of any month.
Upcoming Social Security payments in May
Following the April 24 Social Security pay, the administration’s payments for this month end. However, in a few days the payment schedule for the month of May will restart, in which an extra payment will be included.
SSI beneficiaries will receive 2 payments in May because June 1st is a Saturday and Social Security usually advances the day if it falls on a weekend or holiday.
