Thousands of United States citizens may get two different Social Security checks each month, although not everyone knows this information. - Have Supplemental Security Income accepted.
The requirements to get this check from Supplemental Security Income are very specific:
- Be age 65 or older or have a disability.

It is not necessary to have a Social Security retirement check to get the Supplemental Security Income payment, but the two checks are compatible. If both payments are accepted, the SSI check will appear on the 1st of each month, with some exceptions, and the retirement payment will arrive on the calendar day of each month.
