The Social Security Administration sends a new retirement payment each month to beneficiaries in the United States. Getting the payment each month is possible if we have the benefit accepted in advance. However, it is possible to collect this payment earlier or later if we know how.
There are several factors that influence the receipt of the payment. Some of these factors are not controllable, but others are. Therefore, within the Social Security factors that we can control, it is best to do as much as possible on our part.
For the non-controllable factors there is nothing we can do, so we need to know what they are and little else. Remember that the Social Security Administration sends checks on four different days. We will always get payment on one of these days.
The best way to get Social Security fast
As we have already mentioned, there are several factors that make up the Social Security payment schedule. Within these factors are some that we can control and some that we cannot.
In the factors that we cannot find we find:
- Retirement date and year of birth determine the day of payment.
- Possible delays in the mailing of the checks. This is not common, but it could be the case that Social Security sends the check later.
- Calendar irregularities.
In this sense, if we take into account that the payment calendar depends on the month itself, we cannot control this factor. Even so, there are several elements that we can control in order to get the Social Security payment as soon as possible.
These controllable elements are:
- Know the monthly payment schedule well.
- Choose the fastest collection method. If we choose Direct Deposit, the check will always arrive sooner.
- Not having debts with the bank. This will allow us to have the money when the Administration sends it.
- Have all your personal information updated.
This is the only way to get Social Security in the fastest way. The next of the payments will be on March 13th. After that, the other two remaining payments in March will be on the 20th and 27th of the month.
The birthday will determine on which of those days we will have payment, as long as our check is after 1997. If it is prior to that year, the payment should be in our checking account as of March 1st.
