The weeks when the Social Security Administration sends checks to United States disability beneficiaries are always good weeks. This news is certainly some of the best news a retiree can get, as it means they will have a new payment with the corresponding money from their retirement.
But it should also be noted that not all disability retirees will be able to collect this new check. Each payday is totally different and a different group of retirees will cash the check. So if we take this into account we can easily calculate whether our benefit will arrive in the next few days or not.
Regardless of whether we will be entitled to the next Social Security payment or not what is certain is that we will be able to get our monthly check. If the payment is accepted, the Disability benefit money will arrive on some of the paydays of the month. Those who are not in this group may get the payment on different days.
WHICH DISABILITY BENEFICIARIES WILL GET THE NEW CHECK?
The Social Security Administration will pay the next disability retirement check to beneficiaries who meet two requirements. These two requirements are absolutely mandatory, so it is not possible to get a check without meeting them.
Pay attention to the two conditions to determine if you will get the next payment on December 13th:
- Have a retirement benefit since after 1997. It is not mandatory to have a disability benefit, as any type of retirement will qualify you for this group.
- Have a birthday between the 1st and 10th of the month. In the case of having the birthday outside these days, we will receive the payment on another day of the month of December.
Meeting these requirements ensures that the Social Security Administration will send the payment on December 13th, but whether or not we get it will depend on whether we have activated Direct Deposit, the fastest and most immediate method of payment.
For those who do not have this collection method activated, the money will appear in the next 3 days, although everything will depend on the bank of each beneficiary. Remember that neither the type of retirement nor the amount is important to determine the day of payment, but that the two requirements mentioned above are sufficient.
OTHER SOCIAL SECURITY PAYMENT DAYS IN DECEMBER
The Social Security Administration divides retirement beneficiaries, whether for disability or other reasons, into two major groups. The first of these groups is pre-1997 retirees. The other group is post-1997 retirees. The second of these groups is in turn divided into three different groups.
Of these three groups the first to be paid will be the one that gets the money on December 13th. After that, the Administration will send checks on two other different days: the 20th and the December 27th. Each day has its own requirements.
The December 20th payment is for beneficiaries with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of the month. The December 27th payment will be for disability or other retirees with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of any month.
