The requirements for receiving one of the United States Social Security payments for the month of August depend on the day of payment. Whether you receive your payment at the beginning of the month or at the end of August depends on several factors. Eligibility when it is time to receive a check makes it possible to get paid earlier or later. If you want to know on what day you will be able to receive your benefit just look at the requirements.
In total, the Social Security Administration sends out four different checks for pensioners. There is an extra check for Americans, but that payment is not a pension payment. That other payment is Supplemental Security Income and only the neediest Americans can apply for it. Still, this payment is also part of the schedule.
Of those five payments that the Social Security Administration will send out in August, we will only be able to receive two of them. Pensioners with Supplemental Security Income can receive two, but not one more. All other beneficiaries will only receive regular Social Security and no extra checks. Do you know how many checks you will receive in August?
AUGUST SOCIAL SECURITY SCHEDULE AND REQUIREMENTS
August Social Security payments will arrive on four different days. To that we must add the extra Supplemental Security Income payment. Therefore, the Social Security Administration will send checks to pensioners on the following days:
- August 3rd. Payment for pensioners with a pre-1997 pensioner.
- August 9th. Pensioners with a pension after 1997 receive payment on this day. It is also mandatory to have the birthday between the 1st and 10th of the month.
- August 16th. In addition to needing to have the pension since after 1997, the pensioner must have a birthday between the 11th and 20th of the month.
- August 23rd. Retirees whose birthday falls between the 21st and 31st of the month may receive the payment. To this we must add the obligation of having the benefit since after 1997.
Therefore, the requirements to receive Social Security payments depend both on the year of retirement and the birthday. Depending on these two factors, we will receive the payment on one day or the other.
SUPPLEMENTAL SECURITY INCOME
Supplemental Security Income payments can also be made to Social Security retirees. This payment is only for the most needy. The check always arrives on the 1st of the month. In August there are no irregularities with this aspect, so the Administration sent the payment on that day.
In order to obtain the Supplemental Security Income it is mandatory to be 65 years of age or older or have a disability. Likewise, it is also mandatory to have low levels of economic resources, as well as low monthly income.
The maximum check for this benefit is $914 per month, although there is no minimum payment. If you have this benefit accepted, you will receive two payments per month from Social Security if you are a pensioner.
