Retirees in the United States can now know the exact day they will receive their benefits for the month of March. By means of this calendar, any beneficiary of one of the Social Security pensions can know when they will receive their money each month. In this particular case, we are talking about the month of March and we already know the days on which we will receive this benefit.
The Social Security Administration sends out the retirement checks on the second, third or fourth Wednesday of the month. So on one of those days you will have the opportunity to collect your March benefit check. Retirees are divided into three different groups. It does not matter what the reason for retirement is for the beneficiary. The data that matters in order to determine which group we belong to is the day of birth.
Thus, retirees born on the 1st of a month will receive their benefit on a different day than pensioners born on the 24th of any month. Thanks to this type of organization, the Social Security Administration can send the checks in a more orderly way. If the Administration did not send the checks this way, it could have problems with delays in mailing, since it would have to pay all the checks on the same day.
Social Security Payment Days in March 2023
The days on which the Social Security Administration will send checks in the month of March are as follows:
- March 8th. This payment is for retirees born between the 1st and 10th of any month.
- March 15th. Pensioners born between the 11th and 20th of any month may receive checks on this day.
- March 22nd. Pensioners with a check already accepted can collect the benefit on this day. The birthday of these retirees is between the 21st and 31st of any month.
As previously mentioned, the month of the retiree’s birthday does not matter, only the day. So if your birthday is between the 1st and the 10th you will receive the first cheque of the month. On the other hand, if you were born between the 11th and 20th you will be able to collect the second cheque. Finally, if your birthday is between the 21st and 31st, you will receive the third cheque of the month.
Retirees can only cash one Social Security check per month, with very rare exceptions. It is true that retirees can collect both this benefit and Supplemental Security Income at the same time. The two checks are compatible and complementary, so if you have both benefits accepted, you can receive them together.
However, it should be noted that Supplemental Security Income is always sent on the 1st of each month, except when the 1st is a holiday or weekend. So regardless of the type of retirement you have, if you receive these two benefits, you will never receive both checks on the same day.
