Upcoming Social Security payments in September
Payments for this benefit will arrive on four different days. Getting each of these payments depends on which group of retirees we belong to. To find out exactly when in the month we can get the payment we just need to check the following calendar:
- September 3rd. Social Security payment for pre-May 1997 retirees.
- September 11th. Social Security payment for retirees after May 1997. It is also necessary to have a birthday between the 1st and 10th of the month.
- September 18th. Social Security payment for retirees after May 1997. Birthdays between the 11th and 20th of the month are also required.
- September 25th. Social Security payment for retirees after May 1997. It is also necessary to have a birthday between the 21st and 31st of the month.
By activating Direct Deposit, it doesn’t take a day for the Social Security money to appear. But if you do not activate this collection method, the check arrives a few days later.
