Every month the Social Security Administration sends disability benefits to millions of United States citizens. The exact date on which these retirees receive a benefit depends on several different factors. Among these factors is date of birth, but it is not the only element that determines when a user with a disability receives this benefit.
Each different group of retirees receives the benefit on a different day each month. These groups do not divide retirees by disability or age retirement. The most important data is undoubtedly the day of birth. In addition to that, we must also always keep in mind the year of retirement, since it is a data that also influences the day of collection.
So for that reason millions of citizens with a disability might have to wait until the second week of May. In addition, it is also possible that one of these disability retirees may receive his or her benefit in the third or fourth week of the month. Only one group of retirement beneficiaries receives a check each week, so keep an eye on the calendar to make sure you don’t miss a single detail.
Which group of users with disabilities has to wait until the second week of May?
Beneficiaries born between the 1st and 10th of the month are the first to receive the Social Security disability benefit. However, this is only true for beneficiaries who retired after 1997. Any retiree after that date must wait until the 2nd, 3rd or 4th Wednesday of the month. Knowing the calendar perfectly will help in good financial organization.
So if you were born between the 1st and 10th and your benefit is after 1997 you will have to wait until the second Wednesday of the month. This is the 10th day of May. On this day, the Social Security Administration will send out the retirement check to all beneficiaries who meet those conditions. Prior to this payment there are 2 more payments in this month, although for different groups.
