Getting a new payment each month from the United States Social Security is only possible if you have applied for retirement in advance. If our retirement payment is still in the process of being accepted, we will have to wait until the process is completely finished.
Likewise, we must also keep in mind that if the payment is accepted we will get it every month, but there is another extra payment that can also reach our pocket. This other extra payment is sent by Social Security on the 1st of each month, but sometimes there are exceptions.
If we have the Social Security retirement payment and the extra Supplemental Security Income (SSI) check, we will have two new payments before the end of the month. This is true, however, only if you are a Group 4 retiree.
Two Social Security payments before the end of January
These two specific payments will arrive on January 22nd and 31st. In order to get both benefits, you must be in retiree group 4 and also have Supplemental Security Income (SSI) accepted. There are no other mandatory requirements, although it is recommended that you also have Direct Deposit activated as a collection method.
To be part of retiree group 4, you must have a birthday between the 21st and 31st of any month. Not only that, but you also need to have applied for retirement in May 1997 or any time after that point.
Similarly, Supplemental Security Income (SSI) has other types of requirements, so we should keep those in mind when applying. Either way, both checks will arrive before the end of January. The SSI on January 31st while the retirement check for group 4 will be sent on January 22nd, 2025.
Remember that without Direct Deposit the payment will arrive, but not on the same day of shipment, but a few days later. We will have the money, but we will have to wait a few more days until it finally arrives to our current account.
