In previous years, stimulus checks were somewhat more common within the United States. Even during the beginning of this year it was also common to see states or the government send out these types of stimulus checks. These direct payments were born out of the need created by the past pandemic.
Once the situation was under control, the stimulus checks stopped working as usual. But not all direct payment checks for Americans were born with the same purpose. And that’s because some have been tax refunds, for example. The IRS has sent a large number of such checks to deserving U.S. citizens.
Now that the first half of the year has passed, some states are still sending out stimulus checks. The state we are talking about is Montana. And that state will be sending a direct payment in the coming months to eligible citizens. Not all Montanans can apply for this check, so check the requirements before trying to access it.
WHO CAN APPLY FOR THE NEW MOTANA STIMULUS CHECK?
In the State of Montana, the Legislature appropriated $899 million to make an income tax refund. Through this legislature came this stimulus check for the people of this state. Part of these payments have already been sent, but there are still payments to be sent.
In order to apply for this check, several requirements must be met. The maximum payment is $675 in a direct stimulus check. And this payment is related to property taxes for the years 2022 and 2023. But not for any property, but only for primary residence property.
Montana citizens who want to apply for this stimulus check should do so through the TransAction portal. This portal is the official portal of the Department of Montana. So there is no other means, besides the physical by mail, of requesting this payment. So avoid any type of contact that would grant you a chance to win one of these stimulus checks.
