In the month of March 2025 we may find a large number of payments from the United States Social Security, but it is true that each of the retirees gets a payment on a different day of the month depending on the group to which they belong.
If we are part of group 1 we will be able to receive the payment in the first week of the month, barring any surprises. But in this case we are talking about the last of the March payments and this means that we have to meet some specific requirements if we want to get the Social Security payment on this day.
If you are not part of this group of retirees, you will not be able to receive the payment on this day, but you may be able to receive the payment on a different day. However, we must bear in mind that the payment for these other groups has already been sent, so by now it should be in your checking account.
Those retirees who are not in group 4 but still do not have their March Social Security payment should check if there are problems with their payment, as the check should already be available. If they do not have it, the best thing to do is to file a claim with the Administration as soon as possible.
Requirements for the last Social Security payment of March 2025
We only have to meet two specific requirements to get the last Social Security payment in March 2025. This group is made up of retirees of all kinds, so it doesn’t matter if the payment is for disability, for old age or for some other reason.
The requirements to get this monthly payment are:
- Have a benefit accepted since after May 1997.
- Your birthday must fall between the 21st and 31st of any month.
Only if we are within this group of retirees will we be able to receive the check on March 26, 2025. On this day, we will only be able to access the payment immediately if we have Direct Deposit activated, which is the fastest collection method of all.
After the March 26th payment, we have to wait until April to see another benefit payment. However, each group gets its payment on a different day, so we have to look closely at next month’s payment schedule to be sure of the day we will receive our Social Security check.
