When a citizen of the United States begins to collect a retirement or disability benefit, they can find out at what time of the month each of the payments will be made. It is true that there may be irregularities in this respect, but it is also true that the Administration usually has a calendar so that beneficiaries can mark the day they collect the check in their diaries.
On March 19, 2025, the Administration sends checks to the beneficiaries, but it is true that not all beneficiaries get the checks on the same day. The truth is that it is very easy to know whether or not we will receive the payment of this benefit on this day since just meeting two requirements is enough to get the check.
Thus, both requirements are related to the beneficiary’s main information. On the one hand, the birthday is key to knowing whether or not we are part of the group. On the other hand, the year of retirement is also essential to know whether or not we will receive payment on that specific day.
Disability payments in this week of March
Disability payments arrive in this week of March only to group 3 beneficiaries. If you are not part of group 3, that is the reason why you do not have the check on this day. However, it is also key to keep in mind that the collection method we choose will determine whether or not we can get the payment on the same day it is sent.
All this means that the reason why we do not have this March’s Disability payment is because we are not in this group:
- Retirees with benefits after May 1997.
- Retirees whose birthdays fall between the 11th and 20th of any month.
Thus, Social Security retirement benefits, whether for Disability or not, arrive on the 19th of March for beneficiaries who meet both requirements. In this sense, retirees who are in this group can get the benefit on the days marked on the calendar, but it is true that both requirements are mandatory.
On another note, the checks for disability are the same as the checks for retirement. Thus, citizens who have a benefit that is not SSDI can also collect the check for March 19th if they are eligible.
