In March 2025, the United States Social Security Administration will send more payments to retirees who have an SSDI check. This group of beneficiaries is divided into four different groups and each of these groups receives the check on a specific day of the month. In addition, the payment includes the Cost of Living Adjustment for 2025.
The advantage of this type of payment system is that we can know in advance when we are going to get our monthly check. In the case of March, the payments follow a usual pattern, but it is better to check the specific day to avoid problems with our finances.
If we are planning to pay our bills as soon as possible, organize our next vacation or even renew our car, it is important to keep in mind the SSDI retirement payment days at all times. Thanks to these payments, we will be able to have much more balanced finances in our home.
SSDI payment schedule in March 2025
In order to mark the days of the SSDI payment in March 2025 on our calendar, we will have to take a look at the official Social Security calendar. In this calendar we will be able to find out exactly which days the Administration will send out the new checks.
Thus, the payments of these benefits will follow the following schedule in March 2025:
- March 3. Payments for pensioners prior to May 1997.
- March 12. Pensioners after May 1997 are in this group. You must also have your birthday between the 1st and the 10th of any month.
- March 19. Pensioners after May 1997 are in this group. You must also have your birthday between the 11th and the 20th of any month.
- March 26. Retirees after May 1997 are in this group. Your birthday must also fall between the 21st and 31st of any month.
This way we will know that we will receive the SSDI retirement payment on March 3, 12, 19 or 26 depending on which group of retirees we belong to. Remember that we are talking about the sending date, but the receiving date will depend on the collection method. Direct Deposit is the fastest in this case, but it is not mandatory to have it activated.
New Maximum SSDI Checks
SSDI payments will reach United States citizens in March 2025 with an increase over the previous year. Thus, getting this payment could mean getting a check for up to $4,018, although it is true that not all beneficiaries can get a payment of this size.
Each citizen gets a different payment based on their work history and their situation. Therefore, our check may be less than that maximum amount, but it will always be higher than in March 2024, since COLA has increased all the benefits of all beneficiaries in the United States, whether they are from SSDI or from the rest of Social Security.
