Thanks to the Social Security check payment schedule, United States RSDI beneficiaries can find out at what point in the month they will receive their various benefit payments directly, regardless of the amount they get. In addition, the Cost of Living Adjustment has meant that in this year 2025 they will be able to get a bigger payment, so it looks like this is good news.
If you receive RSDI benefits, whether for retirement, disability, survivor or any other type of payment, in the coming weeks you will once again be able to enjoy this benefit. And best of all, March will not be the last month to get the payment, although it is true that in the following months the payment days will vary slightly.
In addition to that, we must bear in mind that it is possible not to receive one of the Social Security payments within the month of March. The Supplemental Security Income (SSI) check does not arrive on the usual day of the month, so we will receive the payment on a different day, although this payment is independent of the RSDI checks.
RSDI payments in March 2025
Regardless of the type of benefit we have, if we have accepted an RSDI check, we will enjoy our March payment without any problems. The type of benefit does not change the day of collection, so whether we have a retirement check, a disability payment, or a survivor payment, we will receive the payment on any of the days.
Pay attention to the payment schedule:
- March 3rd. Payments for retirees prior to May 1997.
- March 12th. Benefit checks for retirees after May 1997. You must also have your birthday between the 1st and 10th of any month.
- March 19th. Retirement benefit checks for retirees after May 1997. Your birthday must also fall between the 11th and 20th of any month.
- March 26th. Benefit checks for retirees after May 1997. You must also have your birthday between the 21st and 31st of any month.
The type of benefit you receive on these days does not matter, nor does the amount you usually get. The important thing is to meet the established requirements and have the RSDI payment accepted.
Why is there no SSI in March 2025?
SSI payments reach the households of RSDI beneficiaries on the 1st of each month, with some exceptions. When that 1st of the month falls on a holiday or weekend, the Administration sends the checks on the immediately preceding working day. And that is precisely what will happen in March 2025.
Therefore, payments for this coming month’s benefits, whether we have RSDI or not, will arrive on February 28th. This way, with Direct Deposit activated, we will be able to enjoy this payment directly without any problems on the day it is sent.
