The months of February and March will be key months for many beneficiaries of the United States Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) program. Many retirees start collecting a benefit in these months, so knowing the day on which they receive their usual payment is essential if they want to organize everything perfectly.
Once we know at what point in the month we will get our February and March payments, we can work out approximately which days of the rest of the year we will have access to SSDI. The payment schedule follows certain patterns, so knowing them can be more important than it seems.
To find out when we will receive each payment, we need to know which retirement group we belong to. These retirement groups are made up of all kinds of beneficiaries, regardless of whether they are on SSDI or not.
SSDI payments in February 2025
Although it is true that some payments for this month have already been sent, it is also true that knowing the schedule is important for all beneficiaries. So we can check if our payment should have been sent already.
SSDI payments in February 2025 follow the following schedule:
- February 3rd. Payment for retirees with benefits prior to May 1997.
- February 12th. Post-May 1997 retirees with birthdays between the 1st and 10th of the month collect on this day.
- February 19th. Retirees after May 1997 with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of the month collect on this day.
- February 26th. Retirees after May 1997 with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of the month collect on this day.
Both SSDI retirees and those receiving other benefits can collect their check on the same day as long as they belong to the group in question.
SSDI payments in March 2025
After the last of the SSDI payments in February 2025, we will have to wait until March to be able to receive a new benefit. If we have the check from February, we will be able to get these two payments, so that’s good news.
Therefore, the payments in the month of March will be on the following days:
- March 3rd. Payment for retirees with benefits prior to May 1997.
- March12th. Post-May 1997 retirees with birthdays between the 1st and 10th of the month collect on this day.
- March 19th. Retirees after May 1997 with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of the month collect on this day.
- March 26th. Retirees after May 1997 with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of the month collect on this day.
And once we have received the March payment, we will have to wait until April to be able to receive one of the SSDI benefits again.
