In the month of February 2025 the United States Social Security Administration will send new Disability payments to different groups of retirees. If you are expecting to get one of these payments you will need to keep in mind that each payday is for a different group.
One of the great advantages of having a Social Security Disability check is that we can keep in mind at what time of the month we will get it. Just by taking a look at the payment schedule, we can find out right away when we will be able to enjoy our monthly benefit.
Likewise, we should also keep in mind that in February 2025 we will encounter an irregularity. This irregularity will cause many citizens to miss their SSI payment within the month, but there is nothing to worry about. This is not necessarily bad news, as it may mean that we will get it sooner.
Social Security Disability Payments in February 2025
In order to get one of the February 2025 Disability payments we must have the check accepted ahead of time. If the payment is in the process of being accepted, we will not be able to receive it. If the check has been accepted by the Social Security Administration, then we will be able to get the payment without any problems.
The February SSA calendar will be:
- February 3rd. Payment for retirees with benefits prior to May 1997.
- February 12th. Post-May 1997 retirees with birthdays between the 1st and 10th of the month collect on this day.
- February 19th. Retirees after May 1997 with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of the month collect on this day.
- February 26th. Retirees after May 1997 with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of the month collect on this day.
Remember that if you have Direct Deposit, we can get this check on the same day it is mailed. The February SSI payment for both Disability and Age Retirement retirees is mailed on January 31st because February 1st is a weekend.
Extra Disability Payment in February
In addition to the payments listed above, the Social Security Administration will send Social Security Disability beneficiaries another check on February 28th. This check will be an SSI payment for the month of March. The reason the payment arrives early is simple: March 1st is a weekend, just as it is in February.
With Direct Deposit activated, we can get this payment on the same day it is sent. If this is not the case, we will have to wait a few more days until the money appears in the current account, although it is usual to wait a maximum of 3 days.
