Actually, if we already have the Social Security payment requested, we will not be able to maximize the payment. But if we have not yet applied for a retirement check, we can have a maximum monthly payment. The maximum check in 2025 is $5,180.
To obtain the maximum possible Social Security payment we must take into account three elements. On the one hand, the retirement age. On the other hand, the years worked. Finally, the salary during those years worked.
Thus, the closer we are to retiring at age 70 with a high salary after having worked 35 years, the closer we will be to getting the maximum retirement check. Not everyone can reach the maximum benefit, but at least we can get the largest Social Security check within our options.
