The new February Disability benefit payment for Social Security beneficiaries is fast approaching. As early as tomorrow, the Administration will send this payment to eligible beneficiaries in the United States. This payment will be the last one for the month of February, but not the only one this week.
This week marks the end of February and the beginning of March. And this causes the Social Security Administration to send out up to three different Disability retirement checks. It’s not possible to get all three of these checks, but we might be able to get two of them.
So if you have a retirement benefit, whether it’s for Disability or something else, the Administration could send you two different checks. Of course, you would also need to have another type of benefit accepted. The mailing days for these next payments will be February 28th and March 1st.
Pay attention to the requirements for both payments, as there are several. There is a possibility of receiving two checks on the same day, March 1st, but in this case we will not get the payment on February 28th. In order to have everything clearer, please check the requirements.
Requirements to get two disability payments this week
The first thing to note is that one of these payments is the disability benefit, but the other is not. The other check is actually the Social Security Supplemental Benefit. This supplemental benefit is called Supplemental Security Income.
So, if you have this benefit accepted you should take a good look at the requirements to be able to get the money or not. Let’s look at the schedule of upcoming payments and the requirements.
- Social Security Disability:
- February 28th. For post-1997 beneficiaries with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of any month.
- March 1st. Payment for pre-1997 beneficiaries.
- Supplemental Security Income. Payment for all recipients of this benefit on March 1st.
Of these three checks, we will only be able to get 1 of them. There is no way to get all three, but we can collect two of them in our bank account. However, in order to get the Disability payments as soon as possible we must activate Direct Deposit. This is the fastest way to cash these checks, which will make the money appear immediately in our current account.
