Although it may not seem like it, one group will be able to cash a new United States Social Security retiree check in the next week. While it is true that the Administration, irregularly, will not be sending out a new check between the 4th and 10th of December, some beneficiaries will be able to enjoy a check for up to $4,555.
This group is made up of specific retirees. In other words, not all retirees will be able to get this benefit. In order to receive the check, several requirements must be met. Without these requirements, it is impossible to receive one of the benefits that the Social Security Administration will be sending out soon.
If our goal is to get one of these checks, we have to meet certain conditions. However, what is certain is that we will get a check in December even if it is not next week. After the payment on the 1st of December the Administration will send out more checks, so we have to look at what requirements we meet in order to get one of these Social Security checks.
HOW CAN I COLLECT MY SOCIAL SECURITY PAYMENT NEXT WEEK?
The first of the requirements we will have to meet in order to get a check next week is to have had a Social Security benefit since before 1997. This will cause the Administration to send us the payment on the 1st of December, which is Friday.
So if we don’t have Direct Deposit activated the money will arrive a few days after the mailing. And since the weekend is just after, the payment will arrive next week, possibly in the middle. The payment arrives on different dates for all Americans, so check your checking account carefully if you want to know on which day you will have the money available.
Likewise, other retirees will have to wait an extra week, as the payment for other retirees will arrive in the third week at the earliest. So we are facing a bit of an odd month in terms of payment schedule, as there are several irregularities that make the Social Security Administration pay differently.
WHEN WILL THE PAYMENTS FOR POST-1997 RETIREES ARRIVE?
Other groups of retirees will get payment on the second, third or fourth Wednesday of the month. The exact day will depend on the date of everyone’s birthday, so we have to look very carefully at the calendar to get a clear picture.
The group of post-1997 retirees with birthdays between the 1st and 10th of the month will get the Social Security payment on the 13th of December. Retirees with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of the month will receive payment on the 20th day of December.
The last group to receive payment will be post-1997 retirees with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of the month. This group will get their benefit on December 27th. This will also be the last calendar payment for the month of December and for the year 2023.
