United States citizens who have a United States Social Security benefit may be eligible to get an extra Supplemental Security Income in the next few days. This payment will be important because it may arrive even before New Year’s Eve.

HOW CAN I GET THE NEW SUPPLEMENTAL SECURITY INCOME?
In 2023 we will have an extra payment from Social Security in the last week that will only be available to a specific group of Americans. In order to get this check we must have applied for Supplemental Security Income in advance.
Therefore, the first of the requirements is to have this benefit accepted. If we have SSI, we only need to choose the appropriate collection method to collect it as soon as possible. This collection method is none other than Direct Deposit. By choosing this method of receiving Social Security payments, we will be able to enjoy immediate payment of this benefit on the same day it is sent.

WHY DOES THIS CHECK FROM SOCIAL SECURITY SSI HAVE A HIGHER AMOUNT?
The reason we will collect a larger payment on the last of the 2023 Supplemental Security Income checks is very simple. This December 29th payment actually belongs to the 2024 calendar year checks. Therefore, it will arrive with the increase pertaining to this year.
In this regard, it will carry with it 3.2% of next year’s COLA. So the maximum payment will be $943, but not everyone will get this large benefit. Regardless of what the amount received is, the payment will carry the 3.2% increase.
Therefore, if in the year 2023 we have gotten a Social Security SSI of $500 as of the 29th day of December we will collect $516. This will be repeated throughout the year 2024, so we can already know what the amount received from this benefit will be.
