The schedule for May disability payments is already out in the open, like flowers across the United States due to spring. The Social Security Administration will send out the new payments to retirees in just a few days. That will be for the first of the groups for beneficiaries who have a benefit after 1997.

It is common to know that pre-1997 disability retirees have already cashed their check as of last May 3. However, the first of the groups for retirees after that date have not yet received their disability check. This will be in less than a week and any beneficiary will be able to receive it.

All Americans who have a benefit and meet another requirement will be able to receive the next check, which could be up to $4,555. The amount depends entirely on personal history. What does not depend on personal work history is the day on which everyone will receive their check. In the event that you do not receive it on your next payday, there is nothing to worry about.

Each month, the Social Security Administration sends disability pension payments to retirees on different days. If you want to find out what day the money will be available to you, just check the calendar and your birthday. Are you receiving your next Social Security payment?

Who gets the next disability payment?

The next of the Social Security disability payments will go into the pockets of the first group of retirees. We are talking about the first group of retirees who applied for retirement after 1997. If we retired after that year, we could receive a check next Wednesday, May 10.

The main requirement to obtain this benefit is to have been born between the 1st and 10th. And it is not necessary to be born in May to receive this check. The only important fact is the day of the month. The month as such does not matter, since a retiree born in July will be able to collect the benefits for April, July, September and the rest of the year.

What can I do if my check is late?

If you have not received your check by May 10, you can claim payment. The first place we can claim the payment is the bank. Sometimes our bank may withhold Social Security disability money.

Still, be aware that there is a possibility that we may not have activated the fastest collection method. This is Direct Deposit, which makes any payment from the Social Security Administration arrive instantly, whether it is disability or age retirement.

As we have already discussed, the bank should be able to help us fix this error. However, in the event that this is not the case we can contact any Social Security office. In addition, we can access My Account to see if all of our disability benefit information is correct. We should make sure that everything is spelled correctly, such as our address and name.
