Only a specific group of American retirees will be able to get the new United States Social Security payment. It is important to understand this, as different groups of American retirees get the payment earlier or later depending on various factors.
If we keep this in mind, we will be able to better organize our household finances. The payment day is usually around the same time each month. This means that the retirees’ calendar usually follows a pattern. And since there is a pattern to follow, organizing our economy is really easy.
Of course, we have to know which group of retirees we belong to and, likewise, choose the most appropriate method of payment. This can mean that in just one week we can get a new check of up to $4,873 in our pocket. Although that payment is the maximum and not all Americans can reach it, the payment will arrive regardless of the amount.

The Social Security Administration is following the usual schedule for retirement payments this March 2024. Well it is true that the first of the group has had the payment advanced, but the rest will have their check on the usual day.
March 1st was the payment day for pre-1997 retirees. This check was advanced because March 3rd was a weekend. When that happens, the Social Security Administration sends the payment on the immediately preceding business day.
But the rest of the payments for the month will follow the usual schedule. This means that the next payments will arrive on the second, third and fourth Wednesday of the month. Each of these payments has two requirements and one of them is the same for all.
The next of the checks will be on March 13th. On this day the first requirement is to have the payment accepted from after May 1997. Thus, we will meet that check if we fulfill another requirement. That other requirement is to have the birthday between the 1st and the 10th of the month.
Finally, the 20th and 27th of March will also be payment days for all other retirees. Although the retirement year requirement is the same, on each of these days it is mandatory to have a birthday on different days of the month.
