The Supplemental Security Income Administration’s payment schedule is the same for all citizens. Each person in the United States receives a Social Security benefit on a different date, depending on a number of factors. But the Supplemental Security Income payment is the same for all citizens.

This makes knowing the exact day much easier. When we start receiving Supplemental Security Income benefits, we can mark the 1st of each month on the calendar. This is on a regular basis, as this monthly payment does not always reach Americans’ pockets every month.

There are certain months when there is an exception. Controlling this information is fundamental if we want to have the best possible economic organization. Not receiving this check can be very important for many Americans who depend on it to pay bills or do their monthly shopping.

In what month will I not receive Supplemental Security Income?

The Social Security Administration has announced the full Supplemental Security Income schedule and in some months we will not receive this financial help. However, there is nothing to worry about. Not receiving it in these months means that we will receive those payments at another time. Keep in mind that Supplemental Security Income comes to Americans every month.

The only thing to remember is that in months when there is a calendar irregularity, the payment arrives on a different day. The payment day is the 1st of the month, but when the 1st of the month is a holiday or weekend, the Social Security Administration sends the SSI on the immediately preceding business day.

Thus, these are the months when Social Security will not pay us a new SSI check:

In addition to these two months, we have also had two other irregular situations in 2023. In the months of January and April, Social Security has also not sent Supplemental Security Income to its beneficiaries. Instead of doing so in the corresponding month, the checks were mailed on the immediately preceding business day.

Can I get my SSI check a month early?

No. To be exact, we will not be able to receive Supplemental Security Income checks a month early. The benefit payments will arrive irregularly on the immediately preceding business day, but not a month early. Thus, the April payment arrived on the 31st of March.

Likewise, the next payments for July and October will arrive in June and September, respectively. The 30th day of June will be the July SSI check payment. As for October, the payment will arrive on the 29th of September, since the 30th of this month is a weekend.
