She also mentioned that “The average payment is about $270 for each recipient, which will help address rising costs associated with the pandemic and inflation.” So we can say that the average payment is $270, but that doesn’t mean that all stimulus checks have that kind of money in them.
What do I have to do to receive the stimulus check?
As we discussed earlier, you don’t have to do anything to receive the stimulus check. The only thing you must have done is pay your taxes on time. If you paid your mandatory taxes by April 18, 2022 and filled out the document perfectly, you will soon receive your check.
Once you must have filed your New York State income tax return (Form IT-201) by April 18, in this year 2022, you will not have to do anything else. Just wait for the government to send you this stimulus check before you can enjoy it. This is one of the big measures to be able to cope with the inflation of the last few years.
If all is well, in the same month of October you will be able to receive this new stimulus check, but it is possible to receive it after this month. The Department of Taxation and Finance will be sending out checks until the end of 2022. While the forecast is to finish by November 2022, they cannot give a timetable with fixed dates. Therefore, you should wait patiently if you are expecting one of these checks, as you will eventually receive it at some point in the future.
