Receiving this amount of money can make a large number of families a much improved economy during the month of January. However, it is not certain that these families will receive the check this coming week.

It all depends on how the stimulus check is collected. While it is true that users who had Direct Deposit activated already have the check in their possession, the rest have to wait a bit. This latest round is not a fourth stimulus check, but part of the previous rounds. It will go into the pockets of taxpayers who are able to receive the money by meeting the requirements. Will you be receiving this stimulus check from the IRS?

  • Not having already received a stimulus check.
  • Have paid taxes on time.

If we meet these two requirements, the stimulus check could come to our house. But we are talking about the California stimulus check in particular, so there are other requirements to consider.

Conditions for the California tax refund

In addition to what we have already discussed previously, to receive this IRS tax refund stimulus check in California the following is necessary.

  • File a 2020 California state income tax return by Oct. 15, 2021.
  • Report a 2020 gross income of $250,000 or less for a single person. For marriages filing jointly the threshold is $500,000 or less.
  • Not be claimed as a dependent on another person’s 2020 return.
  • Be a California resident 6 months or more in 2020 and a California resident at the time the payment is issued.

Therefore, this information should be considered if we have not yet received a stimulus check and are waiting for one.
