Social Security retirement payments arrive each new month to the different beneficiaries in the United States. Depending on the group of retirees to which we belong, we may get a check sooner or later. And the truth is that the first of the checks will arrive tonight to thousands of beneficiaries.
In order to get this payment we must necessarily belong to group 1 of retirees. This means that we have to meet certain requirements. If we only meet one requirement, the Administration will send us Social Security on April 3rd, but getting it on the same day will depend on whether we meet a second requirement.
Who gets Social Security on April 3rd?
Thousands of United States citizens can enjoy this new Social Security check in the United States. In order to do so, we will need to meet the retiree group requirement. But we also need to meet another requirement.
We must keep in mind that:
- We have to have had the benefit since before May 1997.
- We must activate Direct Deposit as a collection method.
Only in this way will we be able to get the retirement payment on April 3rd, 2024. The type of retirement does not matter if, since the only thing that matters is the year of retirement to determine if we will get the payment or not.
When do I get Social Security without Direct Deposit?
Social Security retirement checks arrive on the same day of mailing if we have activated Direct Deposit. Otherwise, the payment arrives a few days later. Generally, it takes a maximum of 3 days for the payment to appear in our checking account.
However, sometimes we can encounter delays in these payments, so we must be attentive to the current account. If we do not get payment within a week of sending these checks, we should claim payment as soon as possible.
Even so, you have to know the payment schedule well to determine whether our check arrives earlier or later. If we don’t know the Social Security payment schedule, we may not know the day we will have to get our retirement money.
