Even though changes to the Social Security payment schedule are visible in advance many people in the United States are not alerted to this. This leaves millions of Americans unaware that the first disability payment this July 2023 will be on a different day than usual.

In this regard, disability retirees and any other Social Security beneficiaries will not collect the first of the checks on the usual day. This is the 3rd day of July. That should be the day the Social Security Administration sends the money, but that will not be the case. Instead, this payment will arrive on a different day. This may cause many beneficiaries’ plans to change a bit.

In the case of having everything in order and the right collection method, any disability retiree will get their July check sooner. But not all Social Security beneficiaries, just the group that meets certain conditions. Instead, this change in the schedule will cause many beneficiaries to receive their payment a few days later than usual.

When will the Administration send the next disability benefit payment?

The day on which the Social Security Administration will send the new disability benefit payment is July 3rd. As we have previously discussed, this payment should be the 3rd of the month, as it is every month.

A disability beneficiary who does not have Direct Deposit activated will have to wait until the 5th or 6th day to finally receive the benefit money. The waiting time is not fixed, as it depends on the bank, but it could stretch to that day for many citizens.

Retirees can receive up to 2 checks in July

In the case of activating Direct Deposit and having Supplemental Security Income accepted, a retiree could receive up to 2 checks within the days of July.

July retirement payments will be sent on the 3rd, 12th, 19st and 26th. Each retiree has his or her assigned day and it all depends on the group to which he or she belongs. Retirees from before 1997 can receive their check on the 2nd day. This is the only requirement to receive the July payment in advance.

The rest of the retirees, all pensioners after 1997, will receive their check on the 12th, 19st or 26th. The day of the birthday is the key to determine the exact date of receipt of the July disability check.
