The schedule of Social Security payments in the United States follows a fixed schedule that helps retirees financially. Being able to know on which day we will find the new amount of money from the Social Security payment makes the financial organization of the household much easier.
And it goes even further when we know that in the next month we may receive as many as three different Social Security checks. While it is true that those three checks are not for all users, a portion of them will receive this benefit. It is only necessary to meet 1 requirement, in addition to having an accepted Social Security benefit, to be eligible for these three new checks.
It should be noted that only 1 of these checks pertains to the retirement pension. We will not receive more than one Social Security pension check ever, unless there are various exceptions. The other two checks are from a different payment and only one group of retirees can receive it.
When will retirees receive all three Social Security checks in March 2023?
In order to determine when Social Security will send us the 3 checks for March 2023 the first thing we need to do is find out where these checks are coming from. Two of these checks are from Supplemental Security Income. The remaining check is the retirement pension check, as we discussed earlier.
So, we now know which three checks we might receive in March from Social Security. Here are the dates the Administration will send these checks to pensioners:
- March 1. March Supplemental Security Income check for the month of March.
- March 8, 15 or 22. Pension for age, disability, or other retirees. Social Security sends these payments on one of these days and depending on the pensioner’s birthday the pensioner receives it earlier or later.
- March 31. April Supplemental Security Income check.
Since April begins on a weekend, the Social Security Administration sends the check on the immediately preceding business day. In this case, it is March 31.
Who will receive these 3 SSA checks in March?
The second of these Social Security checks pertains to retirement. So if you have a retirement, whether due to disability, age, or some other reason, you will get your check on the appropriate day. This can occur on the 8th, 15th or 22nd of the month, as we discussed in the previous section.
On the other hand, we have the payments on the 1st and 31st of March. These payments are Supplemental Security Income. This check is exclusively for those U.S. citizens with low incomes.
