Many retirees who collect a United States Social Security check are already enjoying their April benefit. This is because those retirees belong to the first of the group of retirees with a check. However, there are still millions of Americans who are waiting to receive their benefit money.
These beneficiaries who do not yet have their April Social Security payment could receive it in as little as a week. It all depends on your birthday, as these benefits will be arriving soon to the first of the retiree groups. If you retired after 1997 and your birthday is between the 1st and 10th of the month, you will soon have your check.
The new Social Security payment will not be long in coming, as we have already mentioned, so you can get ready to receive it. If you are not in the first group, there is no need to panic. The Administration will send more checks throughout the month of April and you will only have to wait until the third or fourth week.
When will those born between 1-10 receive Social Security?
The upcoming 12th day of April is the calendar day when retirees born between the 1st and 10th of the month will receive a check with their benefit. On this day, millions of Americans will have the chance to acquire a new check in order to pay their general expenses. If you were not born between these days, you will have to wait a little longer.
But if our birthday is between the 1st and 10th of any month, we will receive a check on April 12th. This will be the case as long as we have Direct Deposit activated. Otherwise, the beneficiary will have to wait up to 3 days to receive the money. When this situation occurs, the retiree will usually receive Social Security on Monday of the following week.
April Retirement Payment Schedule
In the month of April, the Social Security Administration will pay different checks to beneficiaries. And it doesn’t matter if they have a retirement or disability check. The only important thing is to have a previously accepted benefit.
Here are the days on the April calendar when retirees could receive their check:
- April 3rd. Retirees with a pre-1997 pension.
- April 12. Social Security beneficiaries with birthdays between the 1st and 10th of the month.
- April 19th. Any pensioner whose birthday falls between the 11th and 20th of the month.
- April 26th. Pensioner with a birthday between the 21st and 31st.
You will receive your benefit on one of these days depending on your day of birth. As for the month of birth, this has no bearing on which day the Social Security Administration will pay your monthly check.
