Maine’s new checks will all be for $450 and according to information provided by the State, they will all be mailed out soon. The deadline for mailing will be March 31, 2023. This means that before the end of the third month of the year, these stimulus cheques with new cash for Americans will reach the pockets.
Why is there a cash stimulus cheque payment?
The Emergency Winter Power Relief Plan is responsible for bringing these new stimulus cheques into existence. The cash payment was passed as an emergency measure through the state legislature.
Mills stated in a release after signing the new bill into law the following words. “With high energy prices causing real hardship, this emergency measure will ease the financial burden on Maine people by putting money back in their pockets and ensuring our most vulnerable citizens can stay warm this winter.”
Who will receive these new cheques?
About 880,000 American citizens will be able to enjoy this new stimulus cheque. However, there are minimum requirements that must be met in order to receive this cash. Any user who wants to receive the cheque must meet all the requirements.
The first of these requirements is to have filed your Maine income taxes for the attorney year 2021. On the other hand, it is also mandatory to be a resident of Maine, as well as to have filed the aforementioned return.
