In the United States, the Social Security Administration’s retirement payment schedule always follows the same pattern. It is usual for there to be no irregularities in the schedule, but there may be. If they do exist, beneficiaries usually receive checks earlier than usual. In addition, there are also beneficiaries who, thanks to the chosen method of payment, can receive the check even earlier than the rest of the beneficiaries.
To be able to access this advantage is really easy. What we cannot control is the day on which the Social Security Administration will send the checks. But we can control the day on which we receive the benefit payment through our bank account. We can also know the calendar perfectly if we want to know on what day we will have our money available.
In short, if we add knowing the Social Security calendar to activating Direct Deposit we get a perfect combination to better control the economy at home. And in June we will get our retirement check sooner than ever if we know how and if we belong to a specific group. Do you know which group of Social Security beneficiaries you belong to?
How do you get your Social Security check before everyone else?
Only one group of Social Security pensioner beneficiaries can collect their Social Security check early in the month of June. This group is pre-1997 beneficiaries. The reason for this is simpler than it sounds. Still, we must activate the proper collection method so that we see the money early.
Retirement checks for pre-1997 pensioners are always sent on the 3rd day of the month. However, when that day is a holiday or weekend, the check is sent on the immediately preceding business day. In this case we find that the 3rd day is Saturday, so the Social Security Administration will send the payment to these pensioners on the 2nd day, which is Friday.
By choosing Direct Deposit as your payment method, you will receive your payment directly and without waiting. Pensioners who do not have this payment method will not have their money advanced, but will receive a check on the 5th or 6th day of June.
