The Social Security Administration will soon be sending United States citizens a new Supplemental Security Income (SSI) cheque. As is the case every month when there is no irregularity in the calendar, Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients will have a new cheque in their pocket as soon as this week.
Other payments from the Social Security Administration are also on the way, but those payments will not arrive this week. If you have a Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefit and are waiting for a new cheque, you won’t have to wait much longer. In just a few days, you’ll be able to cash the cheque in your bank account.
And if you activate a particular payment method, your SSI cheque will appear automatically. So you won’t have to wait a moment to get this month’s money. Will you get your cheque the same day the Social Security Administration sends it?
When does Social Security pay Supplemental Security Income (SSI)?
The day the Social Security Administration will send out your SSI cheque is next February 1. Therefore, this means that users who have this cheque will be able to enjoy the amount on the same day.
In order to cash this or any other Social Security cheque on the day it is sent, Direct Deposit must be activated. With this method of payment, the deposit is completely immediate. In this way we do not have to wait up to 3 days as it is the case of cashing by bank account.
Other payments of the Social Security in the month of February
As is customary with Social Security Administration payments, the second, third and fourth Wednesdays of the month will be the days for payment of the retirement cheques. Each different group of retirees will cash a cheque on one of these days.
- 2nd Wednesday of the month. February 8. Collection day for retirees born between the 1st and 10th of the month.
- 3rd Wednesday of the month. February 15. The Social Security Administration will send retirement cheques to pensioners born between the 11th and 20th.
- 4th Wednesday of the month. February 22nd. Pensioners born between the 21st and 31st of the month will cash their Social Security cheques on this day.
Knowing this information well in advance allows us to organize our household financial calendar. And remember that if you activate Direct Deposit, you not only get your Supplemental Security Income (SSI) cheque immediately, but also any other payments sent by the Social Security Administration.
After the last payment in February 2023, we will have to wait until March 2023 to receive a new retirement and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) cheque.
