If you have been waiting for your new Social Security payment for a long time, it is possible that the United States Administration will send it to you tomorrow. Tomorrow is the payment day for retirees who meet the established requirements.
If you are not on the list of retirees who will receive Social Security, don’t worry. In that case you will get your check next week or the following week. What is certain is that we will get the payment before the end of the month, although the day may change.
But for those retirees who are on the list of beneficiaries who get paid tomorrow, the wait is over. Although it is possible that the checks may arrive a few days later, it depends on another key factor to collect the benefit.
Regardless of whether the Social Security Administration sends our check or not, the collection method we choose is essential if we want to get the money as soon as possible.

WHICH GROUP OF RETIREES IS COLLECTING THE NEW SOCIAL SECURITY?
The wait has been too long for this group of beneficiaries. We are talking about the first of the retirees who applied for the benefit after 1997. For these beneficiaries, the Social Security check usually arrives in the second week, but in the month of September this has changed.
The change is due to the fact that the month began on a Friday, which means that the second Wednesday of the month arrives in the third week. Therefore, we are looking at a delay of a full week in many cases.
The important thing is that tomorrow, September 13th, the Social Security Administration will send this payment to the retirees in this group. To belong to this group we have to meet two requirements:
- To have the benefit since after 1997.
- You must have reached your birthday between the 1st and 10th of the month.
There is no extra requirement that we have to meet, so it is enough to get the payment of up to $4,555 tomorrow, September 13. What we should be clear about is that without Direct Deposit the money will take longer to arrive.
And, to tell the truth, in the case of this particular month it is not a good idea not to have this payment method active. If we do this, the money will arrive much later, as it could arrive on September 14th, 15th or even 18th.
