The last Social Security checks for the month of June are arriving in the pockets of United States citizens. And even though this check is the last one for June retirements, the Social Security Administration will send another special check within a few days this month. This other check will go to only one group of retirees. To be exact, only those who have accepted Supplemental Security Income will be able to receive this extra check. Eligibility for Social Security this week
Retirees who will receive the new Social Security check will receive their money now, especially if they have Direct Deposit activated. The payment day for this retirement money is June 28th, the fourth Wednesday of the month. In order to receive this money we must belong to the last group of retirees. This last group has two requirements.
The first requirement is to have applied for retirement after 1997. Any citizen retired before that time always receives a check from Social Security in the first remittance of payments. Post-1997 retirees can receive their money on three different days, depending on their day of birth.
And this is precisely the second of the requirements to receive the last payment of the month. And this group is required to be born between the 21st and 31st. So if you were born between those days and your benefit is after 1997 you will be able to enjoy your Social Security benefit.
How to get the extra check for June?
Within the month of June there is an extra check that not all Americans will be able to receive. This extra check is the Supplemental Security Income check. In order to receive this benefit, you must have activated Direct Deposit beforehand. If you do not have Direct Deposit activated, the Social Security Administration will still send the payment, but you will not receive it until July.
The check will be sent on June 30th. Only United States citizens who have Supplemental Security Income accepted and Direct Deposit activated can cash the check instantly.
After this check we will have to wait until July to receive a new benefit. As usual, the July checks will arrive on the 3rd and then the second, third and fourth Wednesday of the month. Depending on each individual retiree’s situation, the Social Security money will arrive on one day or another.
