Retirees 65 years of age in the United States could receive their new Social Security check in just a few days. The next of the Social Security Administration‘s payment mailings will be next week. Therefore, the first of the Administration’s check payments for post-1997 retirees already has a mailing date.
This does not mean that all post-1997 retirees will receive a check on that day. There are other mandatory requirements to be eligible for this benefit. Besides that, you also have to keep in mind that this is the day that the Social Security Administration sends it. But that does not mean that the retiree who cashes this check will receive it on the same day.
There are three filters in total to receive the next Social Security payment on the day the Administration sends it. If we pass these three filters we will be able to enjoy the check instantly. However, it is true that two of these three filters do not depend on the personal decision of each individual. But the last of these filters can be chosen by the pensioner.
Which 65-year-old retiree receives the next Social Security payment?
In order to receive the next Social Security check, retirees must meet three main requirements. Two of them are mandatory for the Administration to send the money on that day. The third requirement means that the retiree will receive a check immediately.
The requirements to be able to cash the next of the Social Security checks are:
- Be retired after 1997.
- Have a birthday between the 21st and 31st of the month.
- In order to collect the payment immediately, you must activate Direct Deposit.
In order to receive the payment instantly it is necessary to take into account this last requirement. If you do not have Direct Deposit activated, it may take 2 or 3 days for the Social Security check to appear in your bank account.
Other retirement payments in June 2023
In addition to this payment, the Social Security Administration will send three more payments in June 2023. Certain requirements must be met to receive each of these payments. These are the dates on which the Administration will send those checks:
- June 21st. Social Security payments for retirees born between the 11th and 20th of the month. It is mandatory to be retired after 1997.
- June 28th. Last payment for retirees. On this day, beneficiaries with birthdays between the 21st and 31st receive their benefit. It is also necessary to have retired after 1997.
- June 30th. Last Social Security payment in June. This payment is actually the July Supplemental Security Income. The payment is advanced.
After this day we will have to wait until July before we can receive one of the new Social Security checks.
