This is the only way we will be able to know at what time of the month we will have available the check of the monthly payment. Who can get the last Disability payment for January?
The last of the January Disability payments will arrive in just a few days to certain retirees. This means that there is only one group left to collect their Social Security retirement. The rest of the beneficiaries should already have checks in their pockets. So if you are not in the group of retirees receiving the last of the month’s payments, the money should be available in your bank account today.
In order to be part of Social Security’s retiree group 4, you need to meet two requirements. The first of these requirements is to have a benefit accepted after 1997. The second requirement is to have a birthday between the 21st and 31st of the month. Only with these two requirements we belong to the last group to receive a retirement benefit each month. In this way, we will obtain the payment on January 24th.
However, in order to cash the check immediately without having to wait even one day, we will need to activate an extra option. This option is Direct Deposit. With this method of payment, the Disability benefit money will appear immediately in our bank account and we will not have to wait a single day to get the money and use it for whatever we need.
Upcoming Social Security payments
Although the January Social Security payment schedule ends on the 24th of the month, we will only have to wait a few more days to get the first of the February checks. In addition, the month of February will see an irregularity that will bring payments forward.
Next month, the Disability checks may arrive on the 2nd, 14th, 21st or 28th day of the month. Each retiree group gets their payment on a different day. And remember that the type of benefit does not matter in determining the exact day the money will be available.
Also, on February 1st we will be able to enjoy the Supplemental Security Income payment. Even so, not all Americans can get this check, since it has very specific requirements and we must apply for it in advance in order to cash it. But if you have a check accepted, you will get it without any problem in February, since there are no irregularities with the day of payment of this benefit.
