In the United States, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) prepares a calendar every year with important dates for taxpayers. Any U.S. citizen has to pay his or her taxes and can apply for a Tax Refund. Whether or not to receive this Tax Refund will depend on many factors such as annual income, expenses and many others.
If we want to get our Tax Refund from the IRS we will have to go through a series of bureaucratic procedures. Each one of these procedures has a different date. In addition, the IRS has already started the Tax Season, so we can now send our tax returns.
The IRS Calendar in 2023 is very clear. In order to know the days in which we will have to send our taxes we only have to check some dates. Moreover, this calendar is of official character and we can find it directly on the IRS website.
2023 IRS Tax Calendar
Taxes are unavoidable, so we can’t forget them at any time. Paying all our taxes is something we must do, whether we like it or not. Thanks to the IRS and the taxes we pay we get improvements in many aspects of life, as well as money for our future Social Security.
The general IRS tax season calendar began on the 23rd day of January. As of that day, any U.S. citizen or resident of the United States can complete the paperwork and send it to the IRS.
The deadline for submitting these documents will be April 18, 2023. That is the last day, provided we do not file for an extension. Although it should be noted that the IRS does not grant an extension to all citizens, so it is better not to count on it for our taxes.
Help with filing your taxes
Many citizens’ groups have help when it comes to filing your taxes. These are the groups that can get help in order to complete their documents and send them to the IRS:
- Seniors over age 60. Seniors over 60 years of age can get help filling out documents and sending in their tax returns.
- Military. Military members and their families can also get help filing their taxes and sending them to the IRS.
- Low-income taxpayers. If we earn less than $73,000 a year, we can also apply for help through Free File.
If we do not have free help, we can always hire a tax advisor to help us with our taxes. Do not forget to complete all the documentation and always use original documents, otherwise our Tax Refund could be delayed.
