Onychomycosis is a problem that affects millions of people around the world. Experts indicate that the first visible sign of this disease is a white or yellow spot under the tip of the nail. If it is mild, it can be treated at home. But if the nail is thickened, treatment should be started with a dermatologist or podiatrist. Likewise, here’s a series of homemade tricks that you can apply to fungus-affected nails. Note.
Homemade tricks to eliminate onychomycosis
Baking powder
One of the first home tricks is baking soda. Just mix two tablespoons with 100 ml of water into a paste and apply to the affected area, rub gently for 2 minutes. Rinse with water and repeat at least 4 times a week.
White vinegar
Pour 200 ml of white vinegar, 500 g of salt and 20 g of aromatic flowers into the vessel and set aside to dilute. When ready, apply to the affected area and repeat at least 3 times a week.
Garlic
Another homemade trick you should use is to break a clove of garlic in half and rub it over the affected nail or fingernails. You can do this before going to bed to make the antifungal effects work during the night, and wash the area with soap and water the next day. You can also leave it on for 30 minutes and then take it off to avoid any unpleasant odor.
Salt
To do this, use a teaspoon of salt and moisten it with 5 drops of lemon. Apply to the affected nail and leave for a few minutes. Then rinse and repeat the procedure until it heals completely.
