The National Institute for Drug and Food Surveillance (Invima) has declared a health alert for a drug, Losartan. This is a drug used to treat high blood pressure, also known as hypertension or high blood pressure.

What is Losartan used for?
Losartan is a drug to treat high blood pressure or hypertension and decrease the patient’s risk of stroke.

People with diabetes cannot take Losartan.
