The Social Security payment schedule for March is now available in full. This way, users with disabilities throughout the United States can know exactly when their money will be in their pockets. And we’re not just talking about the retirement pension, but also the Supplemental Security Income payment.
This other payment is not available to all disability retirees. However, one of the fundamental requirements for receiving it is precisely that, having a disability. Pensioners over age 65 can also apply for SSI. Regardless of the type of benefit you have, Social Security sends a check on the same day to all retirees.
For that reason, whether or not you have a Supplemental Security Income check, it’s a good idea to know on what day you’ll be able to cash any of the other checks. In total, the Administration will send up to 5 checks in March. Thus, many retirees will have the opportunity to receive up to 3 different checks. This is unusual, but it is possible.
When do users with disabilities receive Social Security in March?
The timing of Social Security payments is very easy to understand. All retirees can know exactly what day they will receive each of their checks. Also, it doesn’t matter if we have a disability benefit, age retirement benefit, or some other reason.
The Administration makes no distinction when it comes to sending checks. It only groups retirees according to their date of birth. Thus, there are three different groups that receive the benefit.
- Group 1. Pensioners born between the 1st and 10th of the month. This group receives the March benefit on the 8th day of the month.
- Group 2. Disability or age pensioners with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of the month. In the March calendar, these pensioners receive their Social Security on the 15th.
- Group 3. Any pensioner born between the 21st and 31st of the month falls into this group. In the month of March, this group receives a check on the 22nd day.
However, as we have previously mentioned, this is not the only payment that users with disabilities can receive in the month of March. In addition, there is another payment that is also very important.
Double SSI check in March
The Social Security Administration will send out the Supplemental Security Income for the month of March on two different days. This double check will be at the beginning and end of the month.
To be exact, the Administration will pay this benefit on the 1st and 31st of March. It should be noted that the check on the 31st of March actually belongs to the month of April. Since April 1st is a weekend, Social Security sends the check on the immediately preceding day to avoid delays.
