Disability Checks for a Group of Americans Hit Checking Accounts Today – Here are the Requirements

In just a few hours the last of the Social Security Disability payments will reach United States households. It is not the last of all the checks for this benefit, but only for the month of April 2024. With this payment, the April calendar for this current year comes to an end.

So you should check well what are these mandatory requirements to know if you will get this Disability check in the next few hours. It is very important to know this, because if we are not eligible for the April 24th payment we will have to claim the late payment.

Who gets the new April Disability payment?

The new April Disability benefit check arrives on the 24th of the month. It is true that as early as tonight thousands of Americans may have the payment available thanks to choosing Direct Deposit as the collection method.

But that is not the requirement to be part of this group of retirees. In order to have access to this check, two requirements must be met:

1. Have a retirement benefit, whether Disability or not, as of May 1997.
2. Have a birthday between the 21st and 31st of any month.

Fulfilling these two requirements we will be able to get the payment of the April 24th benefit. If we add to that having Direct Deposit activated, the Disability check will arrive immediately in the next few hours to the checking account.

Next SSI payment for Disability Beneficiaries

After the 24th day’s payment for Disability beneficiaries, the Social Security Administration will send out a new SSI check. Disability retirees and other beneficiaries can get this benefit if they are eligible.

The payment day will be May 1st. And on this day the thousands of beneficiaries with an SSI benefit will be able to collect up to $943. This payment is compatible with the Social Security Disability benefit, so it is possible to collect both payments without any problems.

Also, each new retirement check is totally new and different. Especially when you consider that the payment has its own requirements. After the May 1st SSI payment we will have to wait a little while to get a new Disability payment in May.
