The Social Security Administration’s payment schedule depends on several things. Throughout the month, United States Disability beneficiaries and other retirees may get their check on different days. The exact day they get their month’s check depends on the group to which they belong and the collection method chosen.
In total, the Social Security Administration sends four different checks to four different groups of retirees. And collecting the payment earlier or later does not depend on retirement. In this sense, a 62-year-old retiree and a Disability beneficiary can collect on the same day without any problems.
The important thing is to know what the characteristics of each group are and to know which group we belong to. Only in this way will we be able to mark on the calendar at what time of the month the Administration will send our check for Disability to our current account. This way we will know on which day the payment leaves the office, but not on which day it will be available to us.
Upcoming February Disability Payments
As of today, the Social Security Administration has already sent two checks to United States Disability retirees. These two checks have been for groups 1 and 2 retirees. Group 1 is for beneficiaries with a benefit since before May 1997.
Group 2 has two mandatory characteristics. To be part of this group it is necessary to have check from May 1997 onwards. In addition to that, it is also necessary to have a birthday between the 1st and 10th of the month. With this in mind, let’s take a look at the next two payments.
The next payment for Disability beneficiaries will be on February 21st. This check will only be for group 3 retirees. Retirees who are part of group 3 meet two requirements. First, they must have received the benefit as of May 1997. Second, they must have their birthday between the 11th and 20th of the month.
The last payment for the month of February 2024 will be on February 28th. On this day, retirees with benefits from May 1997 onwards get their payments. It is also mandatory to have a birthday between the 21st and 31st of the month.
The amount each American gets for each Disability benefit depends on his or her record. So the maximum check is $3,822, but that does not mean that all citizens can get that amount.
