A large group of United States citizens living in California will be able to receive the new $500 stimulus check today to use for whatever they need.
This payment is new and has never been made before, so it is a new benefit for eligible citizens to have extra spending money. The monthly payment is $500.
This stimulus check does not come in the form of a check, as it comes in the form of a debit card. Still, each new month eligible residents will be able to receive the money inside this card and then spend it where they see fit.
In order to receive this monthly check as of today, it is mandatory to have applied for it beforehand. In addition to that, it is also mandatory to fulfill a series of requirements.
The requirements to get this stimulus check are the following:
- Be a single mother.
- Have a child 17 years of age or younger.
- Have been affected by the past pandemic.
- Be below the poverty line.
However, it is true that the check can no longer be applied for, at least the current one will arrive today. Still, it is possible that both the California government and other states will send similar stimulus checks in the future.
The mailing date for this check will be on the 1st of each month. However, since the 1st of July is a weekend, eligible citizens will receive their checks one day earlier.
