The wait has been long for Social Security disability benefits this month. The second group of United States beneficiaries due to collect a benefit in September has yet to get their check. And it is because of an irregularity in the calendar that it will arrive later than ever.

WHO GETS THE DISABILITY BENEFIT TOMORROW?
Regardless of whether we have an age or other retirement benefit, we could get the new check tomorrow. To receive it, it is only necessary to have a disability benefit accepted prior to 1997. In addition to that, it is also mandatory to have a birthday between the 1st and 10th of the month.
If we meet these requirements, the Social Security Administration will send us a check for the benefit. However, this does not mean that we will get the money on that day. OTHER SOCIAL SECURITY PAYMENTS IN SEPTEMBER
This Social Security payment is not the last payment of the month. In addition to it, there are other checks coming to United States retirees. The disability benefit will also arrive on two other different days:
- September 20th.
- September 27th.
On the first of these days, post-1997 beneficiaries with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of the month will get their benefit. On the other hand, the check on September 27th is only for post-1997 retirees with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of the month.
In addition, there is an extra payment this month, the Supplemental Security Income payment. This extra payment is actually an advance payment for the month of October. Since the 1st of October, the usual day for this benefit, is a weekend, the check will arrive a few days earlier.
